AVK UK Mobile Roadshow's First Visit
AVK UK Mobile Roadshow visits Yorkshire Water contractor Ken Rodney Construction 11-10-2023
The AVK UK mobile roadshow is now touring the UK, bringing innovative products, presentations, and training to customers across the country.
The bespoke 3.5 tonne van has been designed to showcase products and services at any location in the UK – bringing knowledgeable AVK UK specialists right to the customer’s doorstep.
The first visit was to Yorkshire Water appointed contractor Ken Rodney Construction, at a construction site in York.
AVK UK was recently awarded the five-year framework to deliver mechanical fittings to Yorkshire Water, so the visit was about introducing and sharing best practices for our wide range of industry leading fittings. This included repair clamps, dismantling joints, flange adaptors, universal couplings, and Supa Maxi TM fittings ranges.
Neil Hodgkinson, AVK UK’s National Sales Manager for Water, was among those touring with the van. He said:
“The roadshow was well received and there was a lot of questions, interest, and good feedback from contract management, operations management, engineers, and general operatives. We received great feedback from them. That included on our products, particularly on the wide tolerances of the Supa MaxiTM range.
“The day went very well, despite the challenging weather. In terms of the van’s first customer visit, it couldn’t have gone better. Being able to demonstrate the products in person and using videos is invaluable. We were able to provide guidance for installing and maintaining our products, reinforcing industry ‘best practices’ on everything from lubrication to fitting, such as using a specific sequence when tightening bolts and the required torque values of those bolts.
“The mobile roadshow is an innovative way of bringing presentations, training, and products directly to customers and its always a positive experience for everyone involved.”
