Yorkshire Water awards mechanical fittings framework to AVK UK

The agreement will see AVK UK delivering a wide range of fittings, including couplings, flange adaptors, end restraint fittings, under pressure tees, and repair clamps, to the water company from 2023-28.

Yorkshire Water manages over 1,000km of pipes throughout the region, 670 water and treatment works, and 72,000 acres of reservoirs and countryside, providing safe and clean drinking water as well as the removal of wastewater to over 5.2 million residents, millions of visitors and over 140,000 businesses.

The contract is the latest in a series of fittings framework wins for AVK UK with water companies across the UK, including South East Water, Severn Trent Water, and Thames Water to name just a few.
AVK UK’s state-the-the-art manufacturing facility in Hyde, Manchester, produces fittings to the highest industry standards and ensures a more sustainable supply chain and lower carbon footprint as engineering and production of products is carried out in the UK. In addition, customers have access to a 24/7 emergency repair fittings service, should the need arise due to an urgent issue on the network.
