Aquabox – our AVK in the UK Group supported charity
Aquabox provides safe drinking water and humanitarian aid to people affected by natural disasters, extreme weather conditions and conflicts. Nearly 1,000 children die each day because of water bourn diseases.
Aquabox manufactures family and community water filers at their facility in Cromford, Derbyshire. This equipment enables disaster victims to turn contaminated water into clean drinking water until other organisations (such as Wateraid) can re-install the infrastructure.
In addition, Aquabox also supply aid boxes which include items for humanitarian aid to help with shelter, cooking, feeding, hygiene and educational development.

Aquabox is almost entirely volunteer led which means that a very high proportion of all donations goes directly into aid. For as little as £35 a family can be supply with a water filter alone or for as little as £150 a family can receive a full humanitarian aid box.
Since their inception in 1992, Aquabox has supplied over 125,000 filters across 50 countries which has meant that over 2m litres of contaminated water has been converted to safe drinking water.
AVK are proud to have been a Corporate partner for Aquabox since 2021. In addition to our annual donation we also seek to support Aquabox with fundraising events and promoting their organisation to our industry.

We have nominated champions for our participation with Aquabox across our UK locations.
