Second Sponsorship Deal for Corby U15's

Corby football team scores a second sponsorship deal from AVK Aqua-Gas Manufacturing 26-09-2024

The Corby Kingswood Stripes under 15s football team kicked off their season with a second sponsorship deal from AVK Aqua-Gas Manufacturing as they embark on their 2024/25 campaign.

This is the second season in a row for the partnership with the football club, which saw the manufacturer fund the purchase of new training kits, including yellow and navy t-shirts, shorts, and football socks.

The teenagers, who play in Division 3 of the Weetabix Youth Football League, have been preparing for the season wearing the AVK logo.

The training has already paid off, with their opening game ending in a 9-1 victory.

Aqua-Gas Manufacturing, part of the AVK UK Group of Companies, has been part of the Corby community for almost four decades.

Fran Brody, Group Operations Director for AVK UK, said: “AVK UK is delighted to sponsor the Corby Kingswood under 15s football team.

“As one of the few engineering companies left in the town, we believe it’s important to support the local community and backing a grassroots football team is one way in which we do that.

“We also believe it’s important to engage young people in the area and promote careers in engineering and manufacturing, which are vital to the town’s economy as well as across the country.

“It is an absolute pleasure to team up with the Corby Kingswood Stripes Under 15s and everyone at AVK Aqua-Gas Manufacturing wishes them all the best for the upcoming season.”

Coach Danny Speirs, who coincidentally is a manufacturing engineer himself, said:

“Thanks again to all at AVK involved in the sponsorship. The costs for winter training pitch hire, referee fees, tournament entry, and training equipment does swallow up a lot of the subs so sponsorship is always greatly appreciated! Especially when you see the players beaming faces when they are given new kit.”
